Unknown Coats of Arms


The marks in this thread are real or imaginary coats of arms--
shields with images and, sometimes, supporters, banners, and crests--
used by unidentified potters.

No. 7 is known to come from a manufacturer in Italy; decanters for an American wine company ("Vento") seem to be one of its specialities.

A weak imitation made by someone unfamiliar with Western heraldry and with German. The writing on the banner below the shield is probably a misspelling of Vienna (Wien). Its origin is thought to be Asian, but no identification of a manufacturer or exporter has been made.
