German gegr / gegründet tea set information please

Hello everyone,

I am new to the site and would like to share with you that it is Great!  I was performing some research on a tea cup, saucer and plate set I purchased last year, but could not find any information on them until I found your great site.  The information I discovered was from a post by cinny171 on  Date: 4:42 PM, 04/06/08  asking about identifying the maker of a hall mark for a tea cup set. The forum response was that the maker was german and the gegr. is short for gegründet (founded) and 1834 is the year.

My set is similar, but consists of three peices instead of two.

My questions are as follows;

1. Is this pottery really from 1834 or simply when the foundry was founded?

2. Are they still in business (I cant seem to find any information or a website).

3. Is this pottery rare, I cant seem to find any similar pictures anywhere.

4. How do I determin its age?

5. What is their value?  (They are immaculate condition)?

I have posted a few pictures and thanks in advance for your assistance.

r,

Jorge
