I have a Small Jar or Holder of some sort with cherubs all around. It is signed on the base which appears to be something that is not in the books. Anyone have any ideas. It is written MA NI FAT TV RA DI SI CNA In an empressed Wreath circle.
Manifattura di Signa--manufactured in/by Signa, a small Tuscan town near Florence, Italy. According to Wikipedia, this is the mark of a small group of local ceramic artists. There's also a website under that name, sporting this same trademark, for a company which specializes in reproductions of famous paintings.
I will pass the mark on to a friend of mine who specializes in Italian pottery.
