Unknown mark and item

I purchased a set of three "bowls" for lack of a better word. The mark on the bottom is not really alpha or geometric. Can anyone idenitfy the mark? I was told by the women who sold them to me that she thought that they were Russian (doubt that).
I have attached a copy of the mark, there is also a P drawn in the clear glaze by not readable in the picture. I also have the item pictured in case someone can tell me what they are for.
Thanks
Lyn

Yes, it is a Russian mark, I think for the factory of Verbilki. I suggest that you contact the Soviet Porcelain Collectors at this site for confirmation and more information.

Thank you for visiting this project, and good luck!
