Tea set marking - smile? Tick?

I have a full tea set of ceramic but Ive no idea who the maker was or if it has any value. There is one small marking on the back which is like a tick or a smile? 

Please if anyone has any idea??

Hi dave

 It Looks like one Katakana strike in Japanese.

But thats nothing of a word or thing.

Thats gonna be a hard thing to figure out.

Is that the only mark or sig you can find?

You have more info from where you get it?

And are you from europe or?

I have no idea at all. It was passed down to me with no information at all. It was with a load of other 20/30s things so Im guessing it could be from around that time.

There are no other markings apart from the one you see. Its just that on all the set. Thanks for looking though Bart.
