Hello. I have been unable to identify this mark found on the base of a plain white figurine which I believe to be German or at least continental, very much in the style of Sitzendorf but clearly not by that factory. I'm sure he's no older than 20th century and probably worthless but I would still like to know where he came from, simply to satisfy my own curiosity. I don't even know what the mark is meant to represent - it's an odd shape that defies categorisation so I don't know how to begin searching for it when I don't even know what to call it. I've shown it to many people and most of them have been similarly baffled by it, although heart, duck and helmet have been suggested by the more imaginative! Can anyone here tell me where he came from? Thanks.
There is something that doesnāt look right to me in this figurine, it looks very new to me and the mark looks like fake could be a recent reproduction made probably in China, I hope you havenāt paid too much for it, but it looks nice so if you are happy with it thatās all you need :)
if it is not reproduction it is very sloppy stampt "Crowned D" from dresden porcelain.
Because the china marks Always need to be good for export this is very sloppy.
