i bought 2 lamps like this one a while ago. there is sticker underneath saying "made in italy". they seem to be ceramics. from the 60s or 70s (maybe). the mark underneath seemed to have been painted. it says "Z (like zorro, with a horizontal line across the Z) and then L 1362"
