I am so glad that I found this site; I have 1000's of pieces of collectibles from my mom who passed away about a 1 1/2 years ago. I am fairly knowledgeable in some areas and hopefully I can help someone on this site identify an object or makers mark.
I have two items, I have spent hours researching and I can't find anything. Normally, I can identify an object, but these two have me at a loss.
I would really appreciate any help you may be able to provide.
I am attaching a heavy glazed yellow long neck bird planter with a short beak, hand painted red red feet and beak possibly swan??(can't even identify the type of bird).
I am also attaching a bisque duck figurine that I think may have been made in Germany. I've searched the initials stamped GRHS. INC. Ceerlings-all I came up with was German Russian Historical Society with led to Russian Imperial Porcelain, the word Ceerlings-I can't find anything.
Here's a link to photo bucket, you may be able to view them better.
Hi Becky-the duck with the scarf may be a version of Jemima Puddleduck-the marks are Geerlings who are Dutch potters, perhaps this will help in your search?
Hi Becky - Your yellow duck was produced by the Brush Pottery Company. The number on the bottom should be 240 and it's identified as a Goose Planter. It shows in the 1950 Brush Pottery catalog. Don
