recently i inherited several items from a family member. Most are ceramics , and a brass thermometer, and a letter opener. Most are marked Germany with no other marks. I have a sugar bowl{not sure what it is}. The words Johnson Brothers ,at the top and England at the bottom . A black and brown label cover the rest of the marks. The label reads Windsor Ware, and registered us patent. We cannot read what is under the label. there are two marks on the right of the label. One is red and it looks like a sideways H. The other mark is gold and it is an X with a small line next to it. The same marks are on the inside of the lid. I dont really think it has great value, but I would like to know what all this means. I have attached a picture of it. i AM INTERESTED IN THE GERMAN ITEMS. DOES THE WORD GERMANY MEAN IT WAS MADE IN GERMANY , OR DOES IT HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE TIME IT WAS MADE. oNE ITEM IS A PLATE WITH THE ROYAL BAYREUTH MARK ON THE BACK. I KNOW THAT PARTICULAR MARK DATE THE PLATE TO 1890-1991, BUT I HAVENT BEEN ABLE TO FIND IT ANYWHERE. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.
