a friend of mine's husband has just passedd and she gave me this stein with dutch words on it and pictures of people across the sides. the stein itself is ceramic with purple and blue coloring and words accompanying the pictures. I don't know any dutch and was able to translate only a few words. they are as follows;
top; pejfert - dvmvs - dapper - blassen bottom; dan danssen - dej bovren - als weren - sje rasen
another odd thing about the piece is that the makers mark is on the top of the stein along the lip and the number of pieces made is on the bottom. the mark is numerical but obvious as the makers mark; 1 1/2 T is what it looks like, I can post pictures later but I'm honestly being rushed to find out where and wheen it is from first.
the bottom is stamped; 83/31
it was bought forty years ago, but who knows how old it really is. anyway, I appreciate any help that can be given.
