i have 12 inch figure that has 2 blue crossed swords on the bottom with a circle at the end between the blades, and it has the number 1426 at the bottom of the swords.. what is this piece ans who made it?
This is a blanc de chine piece sold by Homco (Home Interiors, a.k.a., Homco Gifts, a Chinese company) of Guanyin (also spelt Quan Yin/Kuan Yin/Kwan Yin), the Buddhist goddess (Bodhisattva) of compassion and mercy. (In Vietnam, she is Quan'Am; in Japan, Kannon; in Bali, Kanin.) Homco buys its wares from potteries all over the East, but it is most likely made in China or Japan.
